Joining the members of the Israeli Association for Psychotherapy
The Israeli Association for Psychotherapy was established in 1973
by a group of senior psychotherapy professionals including: psychiatrists, clinical social workers, and clinical psychologists.
We are glad for any appeal to join the Israeli Association for Psychotherapy. Professionals who wish to take part in Association activities and promoting objectives are invited to register as members.
The registration process:
1. Fill out the 
Acceptance form to the Israeli Association for psychotherapy
2. Reading and signing the Rules and regulations form of the Association
3. Delivery of filled forms together with a check for 50 NIS (handling fees)

The Association accepts as members – psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and social workers according to the following criteria:
A. Psychiatrists: According to psychiatrist psychiatry expertise requirements.
B. Clinical Psychologists: psychologist with expertise as a clinical psychologist certificate.
C. Social workers, social workers with master’s degrees who: have completed accredited school of Psychotherapy, and worked for two years as part of Mental Health under the written laws.
Starting with the approval of ‘Rules and regulations‘, the Association also welcomes : Psychologists specialized in other areas like social workers dealing with psychotherapy, expression and/or creation therapists and clinical criminologists, who have a master’s degree (in psychology or social work) and have experience in Mental Health, which completed a recognized psychotherapy program and met all Completion Requirements (academic and training), all as provided in the Rules and regulations.
